Ways to Give

Annual Fund

A Proud Tradition Grows!

At The Lexington School, we have many proud traditions, one of which is participation in the Annual Fund. Like most independent schools, The Lexington School depends on the Annual Fund to keep tuition increases as low as possible.

Parents who choose The Lexington School provide a tremendous gift for their children – a gift that far exceeds the value of their tuition dollars. The price of a Lexington School education is around $23,000 but the cost is closer to $27,000 per student. This difference is called The Gap – and we like to call it "The Margin of Excellence" because it creates the “above and beyond” that makes The Lexington School exceptional. Our students love to learn, and that is a proud tradition we love to see grow!

The Lexington School depends on a successful Annual Fund to help make up the difference between tuition and the full cost of educating a child. This year, The Gap between tuition and the cost of a TLS education is $3,850. This means that The Lexington School must raise $3,850 for every child enrolled this year.

To help close The Gap, The Lexington School must raise $750,000 through the 2019-2020 Annual Fund. The Lexington School appreciates all gifts, no matter the size, and values the support of more than 750 donors each year who demonstrate their loyalty and belief in the mission of The Lexington School through their annual gifts.
Your Annual Fund gifts support the many aspects of TLS that go ABOVE AND BEYOND:
Science is a verb! TLS students receive more hours of science instruction than any other grade school in Fayette County.
Artistic expression! Our students, trained in art and music by gifted, professional artists, perform 3-4 times a year.
We move! 40 diverse acres with state-of-the-art facilities encourage play, teamwork, and life-long movers and shakers!
Adventures build community! TLS students get out of their classrooms and into the world.
Our teachers rock! A strong professional development program keeps teachers excited and classrooms cutting-edge.

Gifts of cash or check should be sent to the Development Office. The Lexington School, 1050 Lane Allen Road, Lexington, Kentucky 40504. Checks should be made payable to The Lexington School.
