About TLS

Head of School

Welcome to The Lexington School

You’ve found a special place. The Lexington School is a true community, a family of individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and interests who choose to be here, connected in belief in the mission of the school.

Our community is a nurturing one, a place where children ages two years old through 8th grade feel comfortable taking risks and facing challenges. At The Lexington School, we engender the trust needed for kids to stretch. In reaching for our potential, we all make mistakes, and at The Lexington School, we embrace them. We call this the “teaching moment,” and it is when we see the light bulb of confidence illuminate.

At The Lexington School, we teach science, history, math, reading, writing, world languages, the arts, all the content children need for the development of their academic minds. Yet it is through an innovative approach to our academic content that we allow children to develop the character traits necessary for their success in a world where careers are changing and developing each day.

These character traits we call “Mission Skills” because they are central to our values. In every classroom, on every stage, on every athletic field or court, Lexington School children grow in authentic curiosity, creativity, ethics, time management, teamwork, and resilience.

This is who we are, and the children who graduate from The Lexington School go on to high school, college, and life fully prepared for what’s next no matter what those surprises may be.

I am honored to be a part of this Lexington School community for over ten years. I hope as you explore this website, you will be encouraged to come visit our campus and ultimately become a cherished member of this Lexington School community.

Warmest Regards,
