ABOUT OUR SCHOLARSHIPS

MISSION & OBJECTIVE

The goal of the scholarship program is to create future leaders by providing an academic, cultural, and social enrichment program for a group of students who, without preparation and financial assistance, could not consider a TLS education. In a nurturing environment, students are guided to reach full intellectual and personal potential.

Each three-year scholarship pays all expenses for a single middle school student entering Grade 6. The scholarship covers all materials, fees, including technology and dress uniforms, after school care, athletics, and school trips for the student. The student chosen to receive the scholarship will be an academically promising person of high integrity and work ethic who has the support of an individual who will partner with the school to assure success.

APPLICATION DEADLINE | APRIL 10

  • Parents receive an admissions packet

  • Parents complete scholarship application and provide school with required documentation

  • Parents are welcomed to visit the school and tour the campus, view the classrooms and speak with teachers, and meet with the Director of Enrollment Management to learn more about TLS and discuss their child’s educational needs

  • Finalists are selected via two rounds of screening

    • First round finalists are invited to spend a day visiting The Lexington School during which time students are interviewed and given an academic assessment

    • Second round finalists and their families are invited back for a second interview

  • Parents are notified of the scholarship committee’s decision by May 18

       â–¡ Two recommendation forms (one must be from a teacher) mailed directly to the school
