Preschool Camps

​

Making a Splash | 8:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. | $275/week 

How is sand made? Why is the ocean salty? What sinks and what floats? Children will find answers to these questions and more. They will explore the ocean and beaches through imaginative play, artwork, and yes, actual splashing around outdoors. It doesn’t have to be sunny to make a splash, Curiosity is available rain or shine.  

 

Afternoon Camps | Options to extend your child’s day 

 

Lunch Bunch | 12:00 P.M.-1:00 P.M. | $50/week (If selecting an afternoon camp, Lunch Bunch is included in the price.)

Does your camper need an extra hour after morning camp to enjoy lunch and recess with friends? Add “Lunch Bunch” to the day. Campers bring their own lunch. TLS is a nut-free school. No peanut butter or other foods that contain nuts of any kind, please. 

 

Stay 'N Play | 12:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. | $225/week

Does your camper want to stay all day? This afternoon session is organized by age and stage. Younger children will have more time to rest and nap while older children will enjoy free play, snacks, as well as organized games with camp counselors. It's a fun way to extend your

Camp Curiosity day. “Lunch Bunch” included.

 

Lower School Camps

 

Paper Roller Coaster Extravaganza| 8:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. | $275/week

Young minds will become budding architects as they design, construct, and test their very own paper roller coasters. From steep drops to gravity-defying loops, campers will delve into the world of physics and engineering, learning the principles behind coaster construction. Campers will collaborate on challenges, refine their designs, and witness the joy of successfully navigating their creations.

All Sports Camp (Grades 1-5) | 1:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. | $225/week

Calling all sports fans! Come hang out with TLS staff as we play the day away. Campers will be introduced to the fundamentals of a wide variety of sports and games including soccer, badminton, lacrosse, volleyball, flag football, basketball, and Gaga Ball! Our 40+ acre campus includes two soccer fields, a football field, a gym, three outdoor basketball courts, and our very own Gaga Ball Pit. All skill types are welcome! “Lunch Bunch” included.

Destination Imagination (Grades 1-2) | 1:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. | $225/week 

Destination Imagination is a creative problem-solving camp led by TLS faculty where campers are assigned different challenges to inspire, create, and problem-solve. Campers can let their imaginations run wild as they create solutions, design structures, develop products, and more! Lunch “Bunch” included.

Coding: Build your own App (Grades 3-5) | 1:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. | $225/week

Have you ever dreamed of creating your video games? Students will learn the fundamentals and develop unique games, starting with HTML programming. We will use cutting-edge AI technology for storytelling and image creation during the course, infusing unlimited options into game creation. We’ll also work on enhancing writing skills by coding trivia challenges and immersive choose-your-own-adventure games. Learners will have the opportunity to collaborate on a group game. Together, you'll practice the techniques learned throughout the course to craft a game that can be shared with friends and family.

Lexington Theatre Company (Grades 3-5) | 1:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. | $225/week 

Teaching Artists from The Lexington Theatre Company will provide theatrical instruction for students of all ages in Central Kentucky. This Musical Theatre Class will focus on the combined genres of music, storytelling, and movement. Experienced teaching and professional artists will take students on a musical journey filled with creativity, collaboration, and fun. There will be a performance on Friday from 3:30 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Middle School Camps

​

Safe Sitter® Essentials (Grades 6-8) | 1:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. | $225/week

This course is designed to prepare students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they are home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Join TLS’s own Katie Farmwald as students learn how to practice important safety skills, handle emergencies, care for children, and how to treat illnesses and injuries. Students will learn infant, child, and adult CPR. In addition, students learn essential business skills, like how to screen jobs, set a wage, and work with employers.
